Carly Pearce "Called Out" By Kelsea Ballerini After Wig Removal Reveal
In an effort to protect her blonde locks from heat and product damage, Ballerini has opted to wear wigs while performing. In response to this news, 35-year-old Pearce shared an Instagram post opening up about her own wig process. Specifically, on how "delicately" Ballerini takes off her wigs compared to Pearce.
"My sweet friend Kelsea posted a two-minute video where she very delicately, very professionally, very correctly, very gracefully takes her wig off, and I feel called out," she began.
"I feel like I'm clearly not doing it right, because this is how long it takes me to take my wig off." Pearce then proceeded to rip off her wig, which took a total of a second. The singer then stared blankly at the camera for comedic effect before stopping the video.
The start of the video had a few seconds of a clip from Ballerini's wig removal process. It showed someone else helping Ballerini to slowly take the wig off by massaging the edges with a q-tip.
"You can take the girl out of Kentucky, but you can't take Kentucky out of the girl," her caption wrote.
The majority of Pearce's Instagram comments were filled with laughing emojis. Many fans adored how authentic the country singer was by revealing this wig secret.
"I love you @carlypearce realest girl ever," said one comment. Another fan said that Pearce was "so real for this."
Not only were Pearce's fans impressed, but so were some fellow country singers. Lauren Alaina commented, "I just laughed out loud."
Even Ballerini herself responded to the post. "HAHAHAHAH I LOVE YOU," she said.
Another singer, Caylee Hammack, questioned how Pearce kept her wig on throughout her performances. "But have you ever danced around & it slid off???" Wrote Hammack. "I keep getting told to wear wigs to save my hair BUT I'm so scared of swinging my head around & it flinging off into the crowd."
