President-elect Donald Trump is a polarizing figure. Any interaction or lack thereof with Donald Trump signals to the internet support or defiance of the incoming president. As with everything politics-related, the reactions either way can be volatile.

According to the program, Carrie Underwood will perform "America The Beautiful" right before Donald Trump takes the Presidential Oath of Office. The Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club will join her.

With this news being spread, some of her fans, who oppose Donald Trump, have become very vocal online. They have threatened to boycott her music, repulsed by the support for the Republican.

Underwood has never expressed her political beliefs but hasn't been shy about her Christian faith. Her husband, on the other hand, Mike Fisher, has been rather public with who he supports. In 2021, he supported Republican candidates and showed his support for Aaron Rodgers.

Remember that couples can have differing political views, and that performing at the inauguration is a huge honor in and of itself. However, this has left a bitter taste in the mouth of her fans.
