Carrie Underwood's House Smells Like Garlic — No She Isn't Trying To Ward Off Vampires

Carrie Underwood's latest Instagram post has given me lots of answers to questions I never had, and even more questions that need answers. And it's all down to why her house now smells like one large garlic.

Posting to Instagram, Carrie Underwood shared with the world her latest garlic haul. That's right, the new American Idol judge grows garlic in her root cellar, which is already a crazy sentence. With her latest harvest of garlic, she's proceeded to process them in numerous different ways, all by herself.

Talk about sustainable living.

Carrie Underwood explains (almost) everything about the latest garlic operation. "Spent all day yesterday dealing with all the garlic in the root cellar. I'll have a new crop coming later this year so I figured I might as well preserve last year's haul," she starts.

"I pickled some, minced and pressure canned some and dried some for garlic powder. Our whole house now smells like garlic, but I'm happy with how it all turned out! Now it's ready to use when I need it! ?."

I am a fellow garlic enjoyer, and I support growing your own foods, but to grow this much of one vegetable just seems rather outrageous. Have a look yourself.

Carrie Underwood Can Cross Garlic Off Her Shopping Lists Forever

In the collection of five images, Underwood shows the processes of her preparing her garlic. Her treasure trove of garlic turns into numerous garlic products that can be kept in her root cellar for the foreseeable future. She won't be needing any for a while.

"Vampires fear Lady Underwood," one jokes.

Everyone else is praising her serious dedication to garlic and her impressive skills. To prepare and preserve garlic in so many different ways is a genuine skill with impressive (and tasty) results.

I do wonder why garlic was the chosen vegetable for her root cellar. It may be worth diversifying into other veggies if possible. At least if the apocalypse does happen any time soon, Underwood will have the monopoly on garlic. Some serious bargaining will be possible from there.

To be fair, if I could only produce one vegetable in my root cellar, it would probably be garlic. So good for her.
