Fans have been worried about the "Brother Jukebox" singer since he was taken to a hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for "medical reasons" on Oct. 16 before opening for Alabama. His band performed in his place.

Now, Chesnutt has canceled three more shows this week, and many are wondering when he'll be back on the road.

What Happened To Mark Chesnutt?

Last week, it was revealed that doctors treated Chesnutt for 'low sodium count and extreme high blood pressure.' His hospital stay prevented him from headlining the One Portales Wine, Beer and Music Festival in Portales, New Mexico, on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Chesnutt's publicist announced the following Monday that the singer was resting at home and would see a doctor that morning for testing.

He added, "After they get the low sodium and high blood pressure under control, he'll be good to go."

As many fans know, Chesnutt has suffered from several health problems over the years.

In November 2023, Chesnutt was hospitalized in a critical care unit for undisclosed reasons, forcing him to postpone several shows. His struggles continued into June 2024, when Chesnutt revealed that he had undergone emergency quadruple bypass surgery for a "heart health issue."

What Shows Are Canceled?

Venues in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Princeton, West Virginia, and New Philadelphia, Ohio, have announced new dates for Chesnutt.

"Due to Mark Chesnutt's recent health concerns, he must unfortunately postpone this week's live concert in Princeton, WV, at the Chuck Mathena Center,"

one announcement read.

"This show will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 11th, 2026. Please hold onto your tickets as they will be honored for the new date, and Mark looks forward to seeing and performing for his fans when he's back on the road. Please join all of us at CMC in sending our best to Mark as he continues to rest and recover. We can't wait to see him take the stage here for the first time this spring. It's going to be a great night of country music!"

Similarly, Chesnutt's New Philadelphia date has been rescheduled for April 9, 2026, while his Clarksburg date will now take place on April 10, 2026.

The following performances are still on the singer's schedule:

  • Rocky Mount, VA (Nov. 7) - Harvester Performance Center
  • Springfield, GA (Nov. 8) - Springfield Fall Festival
  • Greeneville, TN (Nov. 9) - Niswonger Performing Arts Center
