Miranda Lambert's 2009 hit "The House That Built Me" is a song that lingers with you. An inescapable nostalgia swallows those who can relate to the deeply emotional lyrics. Well, if you wanted a reason to cry today, then Emmy Moyen has you covered, as she's written a response verse from the house itself.

This incredibly creative and unique perspective will have you in tears all the same. If the lyrics from the Lambert single get your emotions swirling, then just wait till you hear this one.

"This is 'The House That Built Me' by Miranda Lambert, but I wrote what the house might say back," she begins the video with before ripping your heart out.

I feel like Moyen's verse retroactively makes the original song even sadder. The lyrics are a direct response to the first verse of the song, so make sure to listen to the original song again to get in the right frame of mind.

Miranda Lambert And Fans React To The Emotional Verse

That's right, Miranda Lambert herself has heard the song and interacted with it. Considering how hauntingly beautiful the words are, I'm not surprised it found its way to the country icon.

"This is beautiful," she aptly wrote. Lambert also reposted the video to her story to be seen by all her fans. Now that is a high compliment.

Of course, Lambert isn't the only one raving about Moyen's video. The comments are full of supporters and praise.

"I'm sobbing stop," wrote one.

"The house that built me makes me cry so hard. Especially now that I'm in college and I've moved away from home.. I can proudly say your version made me cry as well," commented another.

"Girl this hurt," simply said a fan.

"Omg. This is amazing. I was teary eyed. I love it," gushed one.

"Just moved out of my childhood home and this honestly made me ball," wrote one more.

Many homesick listeners relayed how sad they found the home's perspective. What did you think?
