The album has received high praise commercially and has achieved success on the Billboard charts. In fact, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. Still, there are some who don't think that Beyoncé's sound can really be considered country music.

While at a show of his own, Adcock expressed his thoughts on the album while holding a bottle of liquor, saying "That s**t ain't country music, and it ain't never been country music, and it ain't never gonna be country music."

Currently, Adcock's own unreleased album, Own Worst Enemy, is sitting at No. 4 on the Apple Music Country Albums Charts, while Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter sits at No. 1. During the middle of his performance, Adcock turned his attention to the charts while talking about his successes in the country music world.

Adcock continued to express his thoughts during his setlist, saying, "There are only three people in front of me on the Apple Music country charts. And one of 'em is Beyoncé. You can tell her that we're coming for her f***ing a**."

While the topic of Beyoncé's album has been a controversial one in the country music realm as of late, many expressed support for her transition into the genre, including Lainey Wilson, who reacted to Beyoncé's country debut at the People's Choice Awards saying, "I love it, the more the merrier."

Country legend Dolly Parton, who was featured on the "Jolene" track on Cowboy Carter, also expressed excitement about the pop artist's entry into country music. "I was very proud of her album, I thought she did a great job in country music, and I thought it was great."

Currently, Beyoncé is on tour with the Cowboy Carter tour, which is scheduled to conclude in late July.
