Country Superstar Set for “Heroic” Role as Part of “Major Storyline” in New Fall TV Series

This isn't Kane Brown's first foray into television, either. He also appeared on the hit series "Fire Country" in 2023.

Variety reports the "Heaven" singer will have a key role in the series premiere of 9-1-1 Nashville. The episode will air on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m. on ABC. It will be available for streaming the next day on Hulu.

What Will Kane Brown Do in the Episode?

According to ABC, Brown "proves heroic in a major storyline" in the procedural's first episode. The scene will be filmed during a concert on Thursday, August 7, in Nashville.

The show 9-1-1 Nashville follows the lives of first responders in Music City. It's a spin-off of the Los Angeles-based show 9-1-1 and the now-canceled 9-1-1: Lone Star. The latest entry in the Ryan Murphy television franchise has been described as "a high-octane procedural about our heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America's most diverse and dynamic cities."

Brown is not the only country star on the show. LeAnn Rimes is part of the regular series cast. Kimberly Williams-Paisley, wife of Brad Paisley, also plays a starring role. The drama also boasts Chris O'Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey on its cast list.

This Isn't Brown's First Time on a TV Series

Brown appeared in an episode of the CBS drama Fire Country in 2023. He also hosted the CMT Awards three times.

The "Backseat Driver" was also reportedly handpicked for a role in the upcoming film The Token Groomsman. It is expected to start shooting in the near future.

"We knew we needed bold, lovable personalities to match the heart and humor of this story," said the film's director, Natalie Simpkins. "Kane brings something so unique. He has a rare mix of vulnerability and magnetism that's incredibly compelling."

Kane will star in the film with Twilight star Taylor Lautner. He said he expects filming to begin by the end of the year or early next year in Italy.

Perhaps the sudden surge in acting roles can be attributed to the body transformation he did earlier this year.

"I just did a 60-hour fast," Brown said of his routine. "But, I'm about to be a lean, mean, ripped machine. Let's get it."
