The Hootie & the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker surprised everyone when he nonchalantly announced that he was moving to London. Given that many were left shocked, to say the least, Rucker has addressed his non-announcement by saying that "nothing will ever replace the Carolinas."

Similarly to how he revealed he has London in his heart, Rucker took to Instagram to post a statement with a black background.
"I've been a traveling musician all my life. I'm living in London while working on some new music and playing some shows," Rucker wrote. "Always been on the bucket list — but don't get it twisted y'all ... nothing will ever replace the Carolinas and it is still home. Thanks for believing in me and supporting my music wherever we make it! Love y'all!"

At least for the time being, it appears that his stay is just momentary and that he will come back to his beloved Charleston in no time.
Nevertheless, his fans were extremely supportive of his choice and are encouraging him to enjoy his time in "The Big Smoke."
"Honestly don't blame you. It's a mess over here. Enjoy the U.K.! No explanation needed. We are in NC. England sounds nice right about now," one user wrote. "Enjoy London - what an amazing place. The people and the culture are so refreshing from what we are experiencing in the US now," another user wrote.
A third one said: "I was hoping to see you at Pebble Beach this year. Enjoy London. Lived there one summer many years ago and it was tremendous. Go Gamecocks!"
Moving To London
On January 30, Darius Rucker shocked everyone by saying he had moved to London by sharing pics of several performances.
"I can't move to London and not play UK shows! Do you have your tickets yet? Limited VIP packages still available. See you soon!" Rucker wrote.
