Dierks Bentley is clarifying comments he made about sleeping separately from his wife, Cassidy. It all began when Bentley appeared on Bobby Bones' Bobbycast podcast, where he revealed he and his wife of almost 20 years sleep in separate beds, due to his inability to sleep well.

"My wife will be like 'How'd you sleep last night?'" Bentley shares. "And we don't even sleep in the same room right now anymore ... We've moved beyond that."
Bentley reveals that he did find a way for them both to have a better chance of sleeping well in the same room, although it may be unconventional.
"So years ago, I decided to separate church and state," Bentley says. "I got rid of our bed, and I've got two platform beds and two box springs and two mattresses." He goes on to say that they each have their own duvet, with space between their bed enough to "see the floor between her bed and mine. So it's like independent suspension."
Dierks Bentley Reveals How He And His Wife Cassidy Actually Sleep
Not surprisingly, Bentley's comments about his sleeping arrangements went viral, prompting Bentley to clarify his comments.
"Why I don't do podcasts," Bentley begins his post, calling out outlets like Us Weekly and People for reporting on his sleeping habits.
"This is how we do it," he writes, showing their actual bed. "I like bouncing around in my old single axle, leaf spring Chevy truck, but we prefer 'independent suspension' when it comes to sleep. Turns out your grandparents knew what they were doing, as does most of the current world outside the US today.
"Just like a good mullet offers business up front, party in the back, this set up allows for both types of activities this room in the house is meant for," he adds. "If you have this move in you, try it. You can thank me and the $131 dollar Amazon beds later. (Dog not included). Thanks."
Bentley reveals he hopes to do something big for their upcoming 20th anniversary in December.
"Trying to figure out what to do," Bentley says on Country Countdown USA. "We're due for something big. We thought about hiking Kilimanjaro. Whether it'll happen, I don't know. When we got married, we just eloped to Mexico. But the older I get, the more you got to celebrate the wins."
