When Dierks Bentley said he was planning "something big" for his upcoming 20th anniversary to his wife, Cassidy, he meant it. Bentley, who married Cassidy Black on December 17, 2005, reveals the couple is considering hiking one of the most notoriously challenging mountains in the world, in honor of their two decades of marriage.

"Trying to figure out what to do," Bentley reveals on Country Countdown USA. "We're due for something big. We thought about hiking Kilimanjaro. Whether it'll happen, I don't know. When we got married, we just eloped to Mexico. But the older I get, the more you got to celebrate the wins."
The Arizona native is enjoying a new chapter in his life, now that his three children are getting older. The 49-year-old recently headlined Nashville's July 4th celebration, since his children were not home over the holiday.
"I haven't played a 4th of July show in a long time," Bentley explains. "I usually take that day off for my kids. But one's at a hockey camp, one's at a theater camp, and the other is at a regular camp. So I thought I'd play a show."
Dierks Bentley's Marriage To Cassidy
Bentley might be the superstar in the family, but he admits he wouldn't be able to do any of it without Cassidy by his side.
"It's an amazing life we've built together and we need to do something big ... it's been a great 20 years, and [Cassidy is] just really an incredible person," Bentley boasts to People.
It's because the couple's children are getting older that Bentley feels ready to celebrate two decades of marriage by doing something truly extraordinary.
"My kids are very busy with travel hockey and theater and all the stuff they do... and whatnot," Bentley says. "But we are kind of a core unit and we've done a lot together. My wife and I really need our 20th to do some [sort] of adventure, something special together."
"We really have spent so much time as a family, and moving into the next 20 [years], I don't know what it'll look like," he adds. "Our kids are growing up, so [there won't be] a lot more time together down the road."
