Of all the things I didn't expect to have Dolly Parton's face slapped on, single-serve ready meals were in the 'definitely not' category. And yet her face can now be found in the frozen isle.

Dolly Parton has announced her new single-serve ready meals in a post made to Instagram the other day. She unveiled four different ready meals, each which can be whacked in the microwave to make a meal in minutes.
So, you've got Beef Pot Roast, Shrimp & Grits, Country Fried Steak, and Chicken & Dumplings. Four pretty wide-ranging meals to spice up your convenience.
Of course, this isn't the first food product that Dolly Parton threw her face on. Parton has all manners of baked goods and frozen desserts available. But now her superfans have real food to enjoy, so they won't starve to death anymore.
Considering how much she's staked her claim in the sweet treat corner of the market, I'm surprised to see her now dishing out frozen ready meals.
So, Are Dolly Parton's Frozen Ready Meals Good?
In a brave move, Dolly Parton's website allows people to leave comments and ratings of the products. This means that we can very comfortably see which ready meal people like best, and which may be worth avoiding.
It turns out the two people who bothered to leave a review for Dolly Parton's Beef Pot Roast really enjoyed it. Consumers gave it a perfect 5 star rating. Something we can't say for the others. People are quicker to leave negative reviews. So I'm sure there are many more Beef Pot Roast enjoyers out there.
In an unexpected turn, Dolly Parton's Shrimp & Grits has a square 4-star rating. I mean, it is a shrimp meal. I was expecting it to be more controversial as peoples' tastes tend to differ wildly with shrimp-related things.
What struck me as even stranger, however, were the relatively low scores on Dolly Parton's Country Fried Steak and Chicken & Dumplings. They got a 3.4 and 3.3 star rating, respectively.
So far, it appears that Dolly Parton's frozen ready meals aren't as big a hit as her baked goods. But frozen ready meals aren't exactly gourmet meals, so you can only expect so much no matter who's face is on the box.
