"Tell you the truth, it hasn't been good," Jase said. Phil has faced multiple health challenges in recent years, including Alzheimer's disease, a blood disorder, and fractured vertebrae. Jase keeps his responses honest when fans ask about his father. "I'll say, 'Not good,'" he explained. "We're making them comfortable and doing the best we can."
A Glimmer of Hope Amid Struggles
Despite the grim outlook for Phil, Jase offered a positive note about his mother, Kay. She recently endured a frightening hospital stay that left the family bracing for the worst. "For my mom, it's been a lot better this past week," Jase said. "She got an infection from a fall, from a cut that happened earlier." Kay remains hospitalized but has shifted to physical rehabilitation and efforts to regain her appetite.
"We were dealing with the fact that maybe this is it," Jase recalled. "It seemed close there. It was difficult." The family previously detailed Kay's fall in February, when a severe leg injury required urgent care. Jase described receiving a graphic photo of the wound just before a speaking engagement. "It was a horror show," he said. "I told them, 'Get her to the hospital. I gotta speak.'"

The Robertsons lean heavily on their Christian faith to navigate these trials. Jase highlighted its role in keeping them grounded. "Seeing my dad improve and knowing my mom is healing gives us strength," he told Church Leaders. "We believe in the power of prayer, and we're grateful for everyone who has supported us."
