Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbrook Made an Embarrassing Flub Meeting Willie Nelson

Have you ever dreamed of meeting your idol? Someone you've looked up to and tried to emulate in your career? You'd walk up to them, look them straight in the eye, introduce yourself with a firm handshake and say something clever, right? That's what we all hope, but the truth is we'd probably get star struck and forget our own names.

That's exactly what happened to Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook when he met Willie Nelson recently.

The whole band got to meet Willie on Friday night, and Kimberly Schlapman introduced herself first. Westbrook went next, and accidentally said, "Hi, I'm Kimberly".

Face, meet palm.

Westbrook was super embarrassed, apparently, and he tweeted about the faux pas right after it happened:

It's easy to imagine that happening to anyone though. Many of Westbrook's followers chimed in that they'd probably react the same if they got to meet the members of Little Big Town. Several users consoled Westbrook by suggesting that maybe Willie had engaged in some herbal refreshment at the time (as he tends to do) and didn't notice.

All in all, Willie is such a cool guy that you can bet he thought nothing of it. It probably happens to him all the time. In fact, it probably happens to Westbrook regularly as well. Jimi may forget his own name, but as long as he remembers the lyrics to "When Someone Stops Loving You", we're all good.
