Find Out How Much Morgan Wallen Was Fined for Breaking Curfew in Boston

As his performance on Saturday Night Live earlier this year proved, Morgan Wallen, who recently performed in Boston, doesn't like to stick around any longer than he has to.

So, color us surprised when we learned from the Boston Herald that on Friday, Aug. 22, during his show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Wallen played a whopping 14 minutes past curfew. Because the "Superman" singer performed so close to midnight, he was assessed a hefty fine.

Morgan Wallen Put on a Star-Studded Show

Along with Miranda Lambert, Corey Kent, and Zach John King on his "I'm the Problem" Tour, Wallen also brought out local celebrities to energize the crowd.

On Friday night, Mike Vrabel, the head coach of the New England Patriots, came out with Wallen. The singer typically enters his shows with a well-known member of the community, so it's doubtful that Vrabel was the reason for the delay.

"I don't know if I was that nervous," the coach said on Monday. "Wasn't like I had to sing or anything. I just had to not trip or tackle him."

Rob Gronkowski joined Wallen the next night. The retired tight end wore a "617 Boston Strong" Patriots jersey and his Super Bowl rings. He then spiked a Patriots guitar thrown by Wallen, referencing his Gillette Stadium days.

The Country Singer's Team Is "Aware" of the Fine

Foxboro officials confirmed on Monday that Wallen violated the curfew and would face a fine.

"The Morgan Wallen concert on Friday night is being fined for exceeding the curfew, and his team is aware of this," a spokesperson said in a statement.

"The curfew was set for 11:30 p.m., but the last song began at 11:44 p.m. — 14 minutes past the cutoff," they added. "The fine is assessed at $0.25 per attendee, which totaled $15,705."

While we imagine all that we could get with that amount of money, it probably isn't much to Wallen. I'm the Problem is one of the biggest albums of the year, and the singer-songwriter certainly doesn't need a Grammy to boost sales. Maybe that's why he's not submitting it for awards consideration.

However, Wallen won't break the record for going over curfew at Gillette Stadium. Bruce Springsteen was fined $22,429 for playing until 11:54 p.m. in 2016.
