The Flat River Band is to release "Love Run" on Valentine's Day, and WOC is proud to premiere the track today.

Unconventionally, the band is releasing two songs tomorrow, but this is my favorite one. For those curious, make sure to check out "Old Fashioned Love."

"Love Run" is an upbeat song about the thrill of falling in love and chasing it. With beautiful visuals and a dancing rhythm to match the racing heart, this track is sure to get people on their feet.

In a statement shared with WOC, ""Love Run" offers a dynamic and emotionally charged narrative about chasing love and cherishing its transformative journey. With its captivating melodies and rich storytelling, the track highlights Flat River Band's ability to connect deeply with listeners."

You can listen to "Love Run" below. It'll be available on streaming services tomorrow.

Flat River Band Recorded "Love Run" After Performing It For Years

Although the Flat River Band write all of their own music, "Love Run" was written by three others and given to the band around a decade ago.

"We were playing in a little dive bar in Western Nashville," the story began, which is where one of the writers, Buck Moore, introduced a song he wrote with Troy Seals and Nathan Belt, "Love Run."

The band has been "singing [the song] for years" in front of live audiences and during rehearsals but never ended up cutting it after all that time. Unfortunately, Moore and Seals have since passed, with Belt being the only surviving writer.

I'm sure he's incredibly proud of how "Love Run" ended up.

The song itself is an ode to a Dallas girl Belt was dating at the time of writing. "Driving back and forth from Tennessee to Dallas" for his love is what inspired the track. With that context, it's no wonder the song is so vivid and exciting.

I suppose it's only fitting for a song that paints such a picture to have such a story behind it.

Thankfully, the band started performing the song more frequently for about a year and naturally got a great response from it. The timing felt right, so they decided to finally record the song and release it with their original "Old Fashioned Love."

And I'm so glad they did.
