Before entering the Wilson County Criminal Justice Center on Aug. 18, Gavin Adcock posted a selfie outside the building. The caption proved prophetic.

"All I know is it always works out," he wrote.
Newly released Wilson County court records show that reckless driving and open container charges against the "Last One to Know" singer stemming from a May 2025 incident were dismissed.
What Did Gavin Adcock Do?
Rising star Adcock was arrested on Interstate 40 in Wilson County, Tennessee, on May 21 for charges of reckless driving and violating the state's open container law. The 26-year-old posted a $1,000 bond and was released the next day, according to People.
After his release, Adcock explained the incident on social media.
"I bought my dream car... a 1973 Dodge Challenger," he wrote. "Over the past few months, I've been putting money into it, getting it running as good as new, and decided I wanted to take it for a joy ride. The car ran great. I got pulled over and arrested for reckless driving, going 103 in Wilson County, TN."
The first photo showed Adcock's mugshot. The second picture showed off his Dodge.
The incident reportedly inspired "Morning Bail," the opening song on Adcock's album 'Own Worst Enemy.'
Fans Thought Adcock Might Serve Time
Adcock is known for trolling fans and critics on social media. Just ask Beyoncé. He significantly raised his profile earlier this year by criticizing her 'Cowboy Carter' album.
In a recent TikTok post, Adcock told fans he might be "going away for some time. He added, "At least I dropped this album last Friday so y'all can listen to it while I'm gone."
If misled fans had read the caption instead of jumping to conclusions, they would have known he was joking. It read, "Not really, but I hope y'all love this album."
In a follow-up post, he said he wasn't really going to jail, but would be signing vinyl copies of 'Own Worst Enemy' at a nearby Walmart.
If that weren't enough online trolling for the singer, he also released a "Morning Bail T-shirt. For only $35, you can sport the singer's mugshot across the front of your chest.
