Jalen Hurts Has Awkward Encounter With Super Bowl Reporter
People have different reactions to awkward encounters. Some freeze and do not know what to do. Others ignore it and brush it off. Some even respond with anger, frustrated that they have been put into such a weird situation. However, the Eagles' quarterback chose none of those options. Instead, he chose to keep it cool and respond with quick thinking and humor.
As he was sitting on the interview panel a Super Bowl reporter shouts at him from the back of the crowd. "How can I get more handsome?" Viewers can see that Hurts is clearly taken aback. He asks the reporter to repeat the question, I am assuming to make sure that he heard his question correctly.
Without shame the reporter repeats his question and fills in more details. "How can I get more handsome? My girlfriend says you're the most handsome quarterback in this league, any advice? Something to do with my hair? I'm desperate, anything." This poor man geniunely seemed to be craving any lick of information that Hurts could throw his way. Unfortunately for him, Jalen Hurts had other plans for this awkward encounter.
Shut Down In A Hilarious Way
Without missing a beat Hurts responds to this ludicrous question. "I don't know if I can help you in that one," Hurts said, smiling to himself. "Sounds like a DNA thing." The crowd erupted into laughter as Jalen Hurts then turned his attention away, assumingely seeking a more appropriate question.
Look, I am sure it feels good to know other people find you good looking, but I can understand his frustration. You just played an epic game, and helped advance your team to the Super Bowl. If you are going to be asked questions, you expect it to be on your phenomenal gameplay. Or at least on a skill you can control, not something as superficial as your looks. However, that is exactly what Jalen Hurts got in this awkward encounter with the Super Bowl reporter. Luckily for him, it didn't seem to phase him too much.
