Country music stars often cancel shows due to illness. This week, when Jelly Roll took to Instagram to tell fans he wasn't feeling well, it left him heart broken that he was unable to deliver the show fans were expecting. Jelly Roll was supposed to finish up the Australia and New Zealand leg of his tour at the Outer Fields at Western Springs on Friday night. He apologized to fans via Instagram stories, saying he usually "shows up no matter what."

"Dear Auckland, I've done everything I can," he shared. "I just can't shake it. It breaks my heart, I've probably missed three shows in the last decade. I pride myself on showing up no matter what. Just couldn't do it this time. Please forgive me."
Jelly Roll cancelled the show at 6 pm, which was when it was supposed to begin. At 6:20 p.m., Live Nation, the venue promoter, issued a statement confirming that the show would not be happening. Unfortunately, by that time, fans had already arrived and were expecting Jelly Roll to perform.
The statement was announced over the intercom. "We regret to announce that the Jelly Roll Down Under 2025 Tour tonight at The Outer Fields at Western Springs in Auckland will no longer go ahead due to illness. All ticket holders will receive an automatic full refund. For any further refund enquiries, please contact your point of purchase."
Fans responded to Live Nation's statement on Reddit, and let's just say there were a few who weren't all too thrilled.
While the timing wasn't ideal, let's not forget Jelly Roll is a man of the people. Let's hope the singer has a speedy recovery so he can get back to delivering the type of show-stopping performances that we've become accustomed to.
Jelly Roll's Weight Loss Journey
In 2024, the "Need A Favor" singer revealed that after much trial and error, he had successfully lost 110 pounds. On the Dumb Blonde Podcast, the singer shared that he wanted the world to see his weight loss process in real-time. "What I want the world to know, and I want people to see ... is that I didn't become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it," he shared. "I somehow managed to be this successful carrying 550 pounds. That's insane."
