On Instagram, the "Need A Favor" singer shared photos of himself at the Vatican, shaking hands with the Pope. He captured some photos with Pope Leo XIV, "From rock bottom to holy ground," and even added a scripture verse. "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them."

Pope Leo XIV was elected to the papacy on May 8, 2025, making him the first American pope ever. The 69-year-old Chicago native is the 266th to hold this position in a long line of popes. So far, he's made waves during his time in Rome. Showing support for movements like "Black Lives Matter" and initiating programs like the "Green Vatican Initiative," he has proven himself to be progressive and striving to effect change within the Catholic Church.

Jelly Roll Says His Faith Is His 'Driving Force'

Tonight, Jelly Roll, alongside a roster of other artists, is set to perform during the Grace for the World concert. Other artists will perform at the Vatican, including Pharrell Williams, Karol G, Teddy Swims, John Legend, and Jennifer Hudson. The event's primary goal is to promote unity and brotherhood and serve as a celebration for the 2025 Jubilee Year. It will also feature a powerful light show and is to be directed by Williams and opera tenor Andrea Bocelli.

Jelly Roll has been very open about his faith with his fans, citing his faith in Jesus as his "driving force" and as giving him a "bigger purpose" in his life personally. "I believe in Jesus y'all wholeheartedly," the singer shared in an interview with Brendan Lake. Of his ever-changing faith journey, he said, "I have no doubt who the Son of Man is, but I'm figuring out the rest of it, y'all, so stick with me."

Well, just like always, the singer definitely has our attention now. Fans can watch his performance at the Vatican now through Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News Live.
