Valentine's Day isn't a positive day of love for everyone. For the heartbroken, KC Johns has got you covered amid the soppy romance songs. "Break From The Heart" is the country rocker you need to remind you that sometimes, taking a break from your broken heart is needed.

WOC is proud to present KC John's new track, "Break From The Heart." It will officially release on all streaming platforms February 7.
KC Johns is the artist behind the 2024 viral hit "Rodeo Queen," and has returned in time for Valentine's Day. She wrote this song with Tim Angsten and Tim Baumgartner.
"I've been through tough break-up's like most people. I think what makes this song so special is knowing that this day and age, it's okay to take a break from the heart. It's okay to focus on yourself while you put the pieces back together after a breakup. I've done this many times," KC Johns told us about the song.

KC Johns Wrote "Break From The Heart" While On The Road Touring
I asked KC Johns to tell me how "Break From The Heart" was made and she had a lot to say.
"I've had the title in my notes on my phone for a while," she revealed. "When the boys and I were feeling the day to write, as we were driving in the van across state line highways to the next show. I blurted this title out and we all started talking about breakups, love & taking space from those things. Before we knew it, this song was written pretty quickly."
The song came about quite naturally, which is typical of songs made from the heart (even if you're taking a break from it).
"I knew the direction musically I wanted to go with this song and I've loved working with producer, Smith Curry, who really puts a modern, rock n roll twist to my vision. I wanted to lyrics to match up to the song. The inspiration comes from my love of a rock n roll background with country & blues mixed in."
I may be a little biased, but I think she got across exactly what she wanted to. What do you think?
