Kelly Clarkson Subtly Shades Ex-Husband in ‘When Christmas Comes Around… Again’ Visualizer

Kelly Clarkson is always up for a laugh, as evidenced by her show. However, the singer recently threw some shade at her ex-husband in her latest visualizer.

The singer released her new Christmas album When Christmas Comes Around... Again. On YouTube, a visualizer for the album was posted, which featured a rather festive fireplace. It's not nearly as impressive as the original When Christmas Comes Around album visualizer three years ago, but I digress.

The visualizer visualizes a lit fireplace, with classic stockings hanging over the roaring fire (absent of any chestnuts). A Christmas tree and some lights border the fireplace, providing the proper peripherals. However, eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed a rather particular detail.

Over the fireplace, the hanging stockings have names. There are four of them. One reads "Mom," referencing Kelly Clarkson, and the next two read the names of her children, "River" and "Remy."

The fourth, however, simply reads "Nope." Referencing her ex-husband whom she divorced in 2022. Clarkson was previously married to Alexander Blackstock, and they share their kids River and Remington.

The scene itself could be a throwback to the OG When Christmas Comes Around visualizer, where one of the scenes was of a roaring fireplace with four stockings hanging over it. No names were on the stockings then, but it seems the clarification was needed in the shady call-back.

Internet Reacts To Kelly Clarkson's Jab At Ex-Husband

The comments are pouring in of people noticing and reacting to Kelly Clarkson's minor visualizer detail.

"So healing!! Mom River Remy and Nope is so cute and adorable," writes one fan.

"Now that's how you use the word "NOPE" wisely ??????????," another applauds.

"WHOAH! That 'nope' is crazy ??. Incredible album too btw," compliments one.

"NOPE. I feel you, Kelly ??," relates one more.

Others simply enjoy the new Christmas album.

"Kelly put her foot in this one. A wonderful mix of old and new with a nice dash of soul for fun!" highlights an impressed fan.

"Best Christmas album EVER!!! Wrapped in red is also one of the best!!" exclaims another fan.

"Love this so much, I love that Kelly is healing and happy... and she is in my opinion the official Queen of Christmas ??," states one more.

It seems everyone loves the album, so a 'well done' seems to be in order.
