The "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems" singer will be headlining the 40th anniversary of Farm Aid. As reported by Billboard on July 29, it will be Chesney's fourth appearance at the event.

The announcement comes weeks after he posted on social media on June 22 that he would be returning to the unique Las Vegas venue, Sphere, in 2026 after wrapping up his first residency on June 21.

Kenny Chesney Is Joining A Pretty Stacked Lineup

Joining Chesney will be Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds, and Margo Price. Additional artists include Wynonna Judd, Steve Earle, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, and Waxahatchee.

"We're excited to have Kenny Chesney back on the Farm Aid stage this year," says Jennifer Fahy, co-executive director of Farm Aid. "He's one of many artists who have returned to Farm Aid, generously donating their travel and performances to raise awareness about the family farmers who grow good food for all of us. Kenny's appearance, along with the addition of music legends Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle, will make this an unforgettable anniversary event."

The day-long festival will take place on Saturday, September 20, at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. It will kick off a year-long celebration of the event's four decades, founded by Nelson, Mellencamp, and Young in 1985, to raise money for farmers in the United States.

The inaugural concert lineup included Bob Dylan, Loretta Lynn, and Billy Joel.  The show took place in Champaign, Illinois, on September 22, 1985, and raised over $9 million for family farms. The nonprofit that runs the event has since raised a total of more than $80 million.

It's Been A Big Year for No Shoes Nation

In addition to his Vegas residency, Chesney was bestowed with a very high honor this year. In March, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame alongside June Carter Cash and producer Tony Brown.

He is also climbing the country charts with "You Had to Be There," his collaboration with Megan Moroney. It's his 99th hit on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
