On Saturday, February 8, Kid Rock joined Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan during his Birthday Bash in Nashville. What the crowd and certainly Bryan did not expect was seeing Kid Rock having a full-blown meltdown on stage over clapping. After dropping an almost inexhaustible number of "F-bombs," Rock left the stage, leaving Bryan in shock while the crowd cheered.

Kid Rock was invited by Bryan to perform "Proud Mary," a song by the legendary California band, Creedence Clearwater Revival. And while he was certainly belting powerful high notes, he was soon discouraged by what he might have interpreted as a non-engaging crowd.
"F--k them. F--k them. Hey, hey, stop," Kid Rock said while interrupting the band. Video footage shared to TikTok showed the band confused, especially David Bryan. "If you ain't gonna clap, we [ain't] gonna sing. That's how it's gonna work."
What followed was a very cringe-inducing awkward attempt from Kid Rock to actually make the crowd clap. "Don't get too fast," he added while some joined his eventually futile efforts. To be honest, he was not that accurate tempo-wise, so Whiplash's Terrence Fletcher might want to have a word with him.
Kid Rock Storms Off
While Kid Rock continued to encourage clapping, he was soon overwhelmed by the crowd's unwillingness to clap mindlessly. To be honest, sometimes you just want to watch someone perform instead of imitating a clapping seal.
"You know what, f--k y'all. You ain't gonna clap, I'm gone," Kid Rock said, leaving the stage. David Bryan couldn't believe what happened, and was visibly shocked and confused, again.
Of course, many in the video's comment section took the opportunity to blast Kid Rick into oblivion.
"Just leaves the band up there hangin'. Doesn't even take them into consideration. He didn't get as much applause & warmth from the crowd so he b--ched out & left them in the lurch," one user wrote. "All that's missing is Billy Ray Cyrus and Corey Feldman," another user wrote. "This is really bad. Somebody call him a wambulance," a third one said.
Whether Kid Rock was having a bad day or not before his meltdown, sometimes you just have to be a bit more understanding toward a crowd. Especially if you are just a guest on a show organized by someone else.
