Lainey Wilson Feels Like A Big Sister To Two Of Country Music's Rising Stars

Lainey Wilson wants to help the other artists coming up behind her in country music, especially Ella Langley and Megan Moroney. Wilson, who says Langley is just like her little sister, feels compelled to give them a helping hand as much as possible.

"I'm buddies with Megan Moroney (and) Ella Langley," Wilson tells iHeartCountry. "To watch their stars just soaring, it's really, really cool to see. And at times, I wanna just pour out as much as I possibly can to them and be like, 'Don't you miss this moment,' you know? 'Be present. Do whatever you gotta do to soak it in and celebrate these times. And then get ready for the next one, because it's going to be right around the corner quicker than you can even realize it just happened.'

"So, my advice to them is really just to keep your head down and work hard," she adds. "But also...acknowledge that their hard work has gotten them to this point. ... And not letting the voices of the world get them down."

Lainey Wilson's Friendship With Ella Langley

It would be easy for Wilson to be jealous of Langley, who walked away from the ACM Awards with more trophies than Wilson. But instead, Wilson is like a proud big sister as she watches Langley succeed.

"I see a lot of myself in her," Wilson says. "But she's got this spunk to her that I'm like, 'There ain't no stopping this chick,' which I love to see. She is a go-getter, and she is one of the most talented people. She's just got it going on."

In fact, Wilson reached out to Wilson the morning of the ACM Awards, knowing all eyes would be on Langley more than ever before.

"I FaceTimed her the morning of the ACMs and was just checking on her," Wilson reveals. "I was like, 'I know these are stressful days.' It kind of feels like your wedding day, you know? And she was doing good. She was holding her own. So, I'm proud of her."

It was Wilson who also presented Langley with the Billboard Rising Star Award last month.

"As soon as I met her, I knew she was different," Wilson said of Langley. "She had this spark and this go-getter attitude that I was drawn to. And, the kind of attitude that it takes for anybody in this business to do it. Before I even heard her sing, I knew that she was pretty special."
