The band was noticeably absent from the festival lineup on Wednesday, April 8. This prompted concern among fans.

Lunny has since addressed the situation on Instagram, revealing she sustained a neck fracture along with an "acute brain injury."

Coachella Withdrawal Confirmed After Singer's Serious Injury

In her post, Lunny explained that the injury occurred while the band was in Australia.

She added that the severity was initially "misdiagnosed," but she is now under strict "doctors orders" that prevent her from flying or performing for at least six weeks.

"We have to pull out of Coachella and reschedule our whole American headline tour," she said. "Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an acute brain injury."

Lunny confirmed that the band's upcoming U.S. tour has been postponed and rescheduled.

The tour is now set to begin on June 16 at Warsaw in New York and will run through to The Orange Peel in Asheville.

Additional stops include Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Indianapolis, Detroit, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Atlanta.

Band Shares Update as Tour Plans Shift

Despite the setback, Lambrini Girls confirmed that their UK and European dates from late May will still go ahead as planned.

"To all American ticket holders: it's dark times, especially in the states," Lunny added. "There are so many good folks who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of fascism. Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about."

"Seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together to mosh, lift each other up, chant, cry, scream in both parts joyful and angry, is my greatest joy."

"We have received quite a lot of messages re Coachella, we are so gutted guys. We want to be there so badly. If it was a broken leg, I would do a Dave Grohl and play it. This isn't something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there's some universe we get to play next year instead."

"Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I'm lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank f--- lol."

The band recently released their single "Cult of Celebrity" in late March. The track takes aim at corruption and a lack of morality among global elites.

Formed in 2019, Lambrini Girls dropped their debut album Who Let the Dogs Out in January 2025.

The current lineup features Lunny on vocals and guitar, alongside bassist and backing vocalist Selin Macieira-Bo?gelmez. Misha Phillips and Kaitlin Pelkey complete the lineup as touring musicians.
