Last April, Morgan canceled shows, due to her husband's declining health. She first revealed his diagnosis in April of 2024.

"We thank you for your prayers," Morgan said when announcing the news. "I asked my team to release this information today ... We deeply appreciate the prayers and well wishes, and for continued support and privacy as we focus on Randy's health and on our family at this time."

Lorrie Morgan's Other Heartbreaking Loss

This is Morgan's second heartbreaking loss. In 1989, she became a widow when her second husband, Keith Whitley, succumbed to alcohol poisoning. Whitley passed away on May 9, with Morgan recently honoring the anniversary date.

"Today is always a sad day for me and my kids and all the Whitleys," she wrote last year. "Today marks 35 years that Keith passed away. Still so hard to accept after all this time. I wish he could see his children and grandchildren so much. He has new flowers on his grave from all of us."

Whitley was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022.

"I've gone through everything that Keith would be feeling that I feel like I knew pretty well. He would feel so undeserving," Morgan said at the time. "That was the wonderful thing about Keith. He was so one of us. He loved all these Hall of Fame members."

Morgan adds that Whitley would have been stunned by the recognition.

"He would've never suspected this in his life," she continued. "This is the greatest honor for me to accept this, along with my children, Jesse Keith Whitley [and] Morgan Whitley. We have been through a lot together in remembering Keith and loving Keith and missing Keith."

Funeral services for White have yet to be announced.
