As far as celebrity look-a-like stories go, this one is pretty funny. Luke Bryan shared the time he recently got confused for Blake Shelton. The best part? The guy didn't think he was either.

Luke Bryan hit his socials to share his hilarious "story of the day." He was out fishing with his son, Tate (good thing Carrie wasn't there), and he thought to share the awkward moment he experienced just before.

When the pair entered the gas station to get some snacks, "this kind of big guy" stopped Bryan.

"He's just staring me down, I'm like 'Oh yeah, he recognizes me,'" he said. Well, it turns out he didn't quite.

"I walk up to the counter, he goes 'Man, God, dude,'" he continues. "You look just like Blake Shelton."

I audibly laughed, which is something that's hard to do these days. I'm not sure how the singer didn't laugh in his face there and then. I mean, they really don't look similar. To a point where I think the man may have been messing with him big time.

The funniest thing to do upon meeting a celebrity is to confuse them for another one. Especially if you go as far to say they're just a doppelganger.

"You're not Blake Shelton, are you?" the man then asked. To Luke Bryan.

After the singer denied being Blake Shelton, the man said, "You gotta get that all the time."

To add insult to injury, after the man kept going on about how similar they look, he then alluded to The Voice. Considering that American Idol is airing and The Voice isn't, this encounter couldn't get any worse.

"You know who he is, he's on that TV show," the man asked.

The funniest part? The man then finally asked Luke Bryan, "Can you imagine what it would be like to have Blake Shelton's money?"

I'm sure this will go down as the most absurd and hysterical fan encounter Luke Bryan's ever had. It's so 'out there' that it's possible he was just messing with him. If so, my hat goes off to him.
