Luke Combs Reveals He Doesn't Buy A Lot Of New Underwear

Luke Combs might take frugality a bit too far. The 35-year-old reveals he tries to live well below his means, refusing to buy anything new, including underwear, unless he really needs it.

"I could have the newest and nicest of everything but I just don't," Combs tells Taste of Country.

"There's not a lot of new underwear in my drawer, you know what I mean?" he adds. "I mean, I have a lot of nice things that I'm very, very thankful for. But, I'll get the most use out of what I do have."

Combs wants to save both time and money, which is why he doesn't buy a lot of new anything.

"It's more work to get something new and to figure out how to do it and do the new version of it," Combs explains.

Combs just celebrated his fifth anniversary with his wife, Nicole. They are proud parents to three-year-old son, Tex and Beau, who will turn two later this month.

Luke Combs Still Lives In A Simple Home

Combs could, like many of his fellow artists in country music, afford to buy multiple nice homes. But perhaps surprisingly, Combs and his family still live in a simple, two-bedroom, 2,000 square-foot home.

"It's two bedrooms. Me and my wife have a room, and then the boys share a room," Combs reveals on the  The MeatEater Podcast. "We're always close together, we're always tied in."

Not only do they live in a simple home, but Combs and his wife refuse to hire help with their children or their home.

"We let them just destroy it," Combs says of his young sons.

"But it's like, every night it's like 'All right, we're all cleaning up now,'" he continues. "We make it a point to go 'Hey man, you need to help us with this stuff. This is your job. You make a mess, you got to clean it up.'"

Combs is taking most of 2025 off to be with his family, where he is proud to be a hands-on dad.

"My life is so normal outside of when I'm playing shows," Combs says. "I'm basically in some ways like another form of a stay-at-home parent when I'm not on the road."
