When will celebrities remember that their likes are public and that there are obsessed people online who will always catch their every move?

Singer and actress Mandy Moore was caught liking a post that made fun of Carrie Underwood's acapella performance of "America the Beautiful" at Trump's inauguration.

Due to technical difficulties, Carrie Underwood ultimately had to perform her inauguration song acapella, which is a little more challenging. A post was shared on Instagram with a caption that mocked Underwood and her performance.

Evan Ross Katz posted the photo, writing, "Kamala Harris evoking Coco Montrese ("Girl, find the note") watching Carrie Underwood at today's chilling Inauguration." The RuPaul's Drag Race reference poked fun at her performance, saying it was out of tune.

Eagle-eyed users noticed that both Mandy Moore and Ariana Grande liked the post, suggesting they agreed that the performance was subpar. It is totally possible that they liked the post due to finding the reference amusing, although everything done in America is politically charged, so is unlikely.

Internet Reacts To Post Mocking Carrie Underwood's Inaugural Performance

Mandy Moore (and Ariana Grande) haven't made any other comments relating to the performance. But this is enough to go on.

The comments are currently dominated by people defending Carrie Underwood, with some referencing the apparent celebrity endorsements.

"I didn't ping @mandymooremm as a mean girl, but the level of audacity of Mandy to join in hating on Carrie Underwood's vocals is well...more audacity than she's ever earned," wrote one.

"Ariana liked this lmfao," another highlighted.

"Carrie did amazing!!! Literally had to sing a cappella on the fly. I'll just keep it classy like Carrie," one complimented.

Some comments do side with the poster, and were unimpressed with Underwood's performance.

"Kamala: "oh, that note was a little under,"" one commented, referencing the less-than-impressed expression from Kamala Harris.

"#CarrieUnderwood was awful. Matches the current vibe of the administration," another scorned.

" 'Chilling' is a good word," another user wrote, referencing the caption of the post.

Most of the commenters were in support of Underwood, however. Singing acapella is objectively harder, especially in a performance like that. But she is a professional singer, which I think should make up for it. Her performance wasn't a bad one, but it hasn't impressed everyone out there.
