Megan Moroney has a new song coming out next week, featuring Kenny Chesney. "You Had To Be There" will be out on Friday, May 9. The two became good friends last year, when Moroney opened for Chesney on his massive Sun Goes Down Tour.

Moroney reveals the exciting news on social media. She also drops a clip of the song, and shares a photo of her purchasing a ticket to go see Chesney on his 2018 Trip Around The Sun Tour.
"7 years later got a different point of view..." Moroney writes.
Chesney also comments on the duet, and his honor at being asked to be part of "You Had To Be There."
"As far as I know this is the first song anyone has written for me . Thank you Megan. I love ya," he writes.

Chesney and Moroney became close while on tour together last year. She recently also introduced him to TikTok, in a humorous video. Chesney has been Moroney's biggest cheerleader after touring together, publicly praising her for headlining her own Am I Okay? Tour.
Moroney has a lot of fans, but Chesney is likely her biggest.
"She's really good," Chesney boasted in February (via Holler). "What's crazy is that Megan and I didn't know each other this time last year. We've both had conversations after touring with each other this summer, and I can't imagine us not knowing each other now. That's how crazy that is."
Chesney and Moroney are by now friends, but she is still learning all she can from Chesney.
"I literally watch his whole show every night— side stage — trying to learn from him,' Moroney told People while on the road with Chesney. "From everything he does on the stage to interacting with his fans, I'm trying to take note of every move he makes."
"Even off stage, the routine that [Kenny] sticks to? He hasn't drank this entire tour and he does ice baths and he has a very strict diet," she continued. "I've just been trying to absorb all of his knowledge because he obviously has so much of it."
