Kenny Chesney is now on TikTok, thanks to one of his good friends. Chesney was introduced to the platform over the weekend by Megan Moroney.

"Hey guys, I want to introduce you all to my good friend, Kenny Chesney," Moroney says. Moroney seems to be trying to convince him to come on camera with her, before he briefly appears and they both burst out laughing.
In only two days since joining TikTok, Chesney has already amassed more than 136,000 followers. It's a number that will likely increase exponentially in the next few days.
It's fitting that Moroney introduced Chesney to TikTok, since the two have become good friends. The future Country Music Hall of Fame member invited Moroney to open for him on his 2024 Sun Goes Down Tour. In fact, the two have become so close that rumors began swirling that the two were dating, although those rumors are completely unfounded.
Kenny Chesney in Las Vegas
The only other video Chesney has posted on TikTok, at least so far, is a sneak peek of his upcoming Las Vegas residency. On May 22, Chesney will kick off his Live at Sphere Las Vegas, becoming the first country artist to have a residency at the venue.
"The opportunity to perform at Sphere came about last April, actually," Chesney tells his record label. "I was doing a tribute show for Jimmy Buffett at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and my friend Irving Azoff, in my dressing room told me that I should be the first country act to play the Sphere. I really didn't know what I was going to do in 2025, but the opportunity to do this was just so great."
Chesney's debut All I Need to Know record came out in 1995, making this the perfect year to do something new, in honor of his 30th anniversary of being a country music singer.
"To be able to take my audience on a completely different journey," he says why he is doing a Las Vegas residency. "To take my life's work and this music and these songs and present it in a way I've never been able to present it before. I told everybody on my team and my road family, I said there's no way we're not going to do this."
