Megan Moroney is letting karma win in her hilarious, revenge-filled new video for "6 Months Later." The song, written by Moroney along with Ben Williams, David "Messy" Mescon, and Rob Hatch, is Moroney's masterful way of getting back at an ex.

With lines that include "It's a tale as old as time, I guess/When you couldn't care more, I couldn't care less/You're a little too late to the party, heartbreaker/What doesn't kill you calls you 6 months later," the song is from a forthcoming new album.
While "6 Months Later" is fictitious, Moroney makes it clear she isn't opposed to getting back at a wayward ex in real life. She recently revealed that she put stamps of her promoting her Am I Okay? album last year all over the sidewalk of where her ex would have to walk.
"I specifically made sure that every two feet that he would take to walk his route to work, that there was a stamp that said 'Am I Okay? Megan Moroney,'" she recalled.
Megan Moroney's Hit Single With Kenny Chesney
Not all of Moroney's songs are about heartbreak and revenge. She currently has a Top 40 hit with "You Had To Be There," with Kenny Chesney. Moroney wrote the song as a thank you to the country music superstar, after he invited her to tour with him in 2024.
"It sounds like a Kenny Chesney song, and it's just really authentic to the story of what happened," Moroney says in a video explaining the story behind the song. "The first verse is me getting ready for the concert in 2018. I was a sophomore in college when I went and saw him in Atlanta. The second verse comes around and says, 'Seven years later, got a different point of view,' which obviously, seven years later, I was on tour with Kenny Chesney.
"I said on stage every night that it was such a full-circle moment," she adds. "We all loved the song. I had no idea if Kenny was going to like the song, but I was like, 'I'm gonna write it down on a piece of paper, and that will be my gift to him.'"
