Morgan Wallen may not always act the part, but he is a Christian. Raised by a Southern Baptist preacher in Sneedville, Tennessee, Wallen often weaves religious imagery into his music. For example, the song "I Ain't Comin' Back" references the story of Jesus walking on water. Additionally, themes of self-awareness and personal growth run throughout his record-breaking album I'm the Problem.

In addition to his music, Wallen also participates in a Bible prayer study group, as a fan recently discovered when the "I Got Better" singer surprised her with a video call.
The Fan Had Been Going Through a "Rough Spell"
The TikTok featuring Wallen was posted last week. It was captioned, "When Morgan Wallen takes time out of his day to tell your daughter he is adding you to his bible study prayer list because he hears you are having brain surgery."
The hashtags in the video also hint that the reason for the surgery may be due to a cavernous malformation. According to the Cleveland Clinic, it is caused by an abnormal collection of blood vessels located in the brainstem and spinal cord. It can cause balance issues, blurred vision, headaches, seizures, and tremors.
The call begins with a conversation with someone named Matt.
"I got a buddy, and he heard your story," he said to the fan.
The Buddy Was Morgan Wallen
While we can't see the screen, a familiar voice says, "What's up?"
Clearly shocked by who she's seeing, all she can say is, "Oh my gosh! Is this real? Are you real?"
"It's the real me," the voice replies. "How are you?"
The camera then pans over to the fan's phone, where the voice is revealed to be none other than Wallen.
"I'm doing a lot better now," the fan answers. "Sorry, I'm a little in shock."
"We heard you've been in a little bit of a rough spell, so we wanted to call," Wallen says before the clip ends with a screenshot of the FaceTime call.
Wallen Has His Good Side
For example, despite his occasionally bad behavior, Wallen has been working to help kids in Nashville by refurbishing several baseball fields in the area.
He also donates $3 from every ticket sold to his foundation, which focuses on improving access to sports and music, two of Wallen's biggest passions.
Of course, we're trying to figure out how we get into Wallen's Bible prayer study group. If you have an in, share it with us in the comments below.
