“Mystery Girl” From the New Bailey Zimmerman Album Just Got Revealed in a TikTok Video

Fans have been wondering who the "mystery girl" on the new Bailey Zimmerman album is. This recent TikTok might just give them the answer.

Just a few days ago, Bailey Zimmerman dropped his sophomore album, Different Night Same Rodeo. And fans have been loving it. However, on your first listen, you might notice that Zimmerman features a female singer on Track 13. The song, called "These Nights", doesn't mention a name on the track. Well, after a few days of fans speculating and theorizing, the "mystery female vocalist" has decided to come forward and reveal herself.

In a recent TikTok, singer-songwriter Mackenzie Carpenter used a snippet of "These Nights" and captioned the video, "Y'all, who is this mysterious girl on this Bailey Zimmerman song?" If there were any doubts before, Zimmerman confirmed the collaboration in the comment section. Zimmerman wrote, "ATE ON THIS SONG" with a fire emoji. Fans were thrilled, saying that they "knew it" and that Carpenter's voice sounded familiar. However, some fans were confused as to why Mackenzie wasn't recognized as a feature on the track.

"Why didn't he feature you???" one user commented.

"More like who's that guy singing on that song featuring Mackenzie Carpenter!" said another.

Bailey Zimmerman hasn't addressed why Carpenter isn't given vocal credit on the track. However, it seems like the two are on good terms, given their recent TikToks and support for each other in their comment sections.

Who Is Mackenzie Carpenter?

Originally from Hull, Georgia, Mackenzie Carpenter has gained notoriety over the past year for work on songs like "Villain" by Lily Rose and Megan Moroney's "I'm Not Pretty." In 2022, the singer signed a deal with Valory Music Co. In 2025, she dropped her debut album, Hey Country Queen. The album features songs that fans haven't heard yet. It also features her viral single, "Dozen Red Flags," which she first showcased a snippet of on TikTok.

This summer, Carpenter was featured on the lineup of several festivals, including Boots and Hearts, WE Fest, and the Voices of America Country Music Fest. She's also set to go on tour with Jordan Davis on his Ain't Enough Road Tour, which begins in September.

Whether you knew about her before she collaborated with Bailey Zimmerman or not, you should get on the Mackenzie Carpenter bandwagon before she makes it big. It doesn't seem like our favorite "mystery girl" is going to be a mystery girl for very long.
