By the way, Malone has really big cowboy boots to fill. Last year's halftime show performer was Lainey Wilson. She brought the house down with her spectacular vocals and powerhouse presence. For almost 30 years, the Thanksgiving game halftime show has been a platform for renowned entertainers. Among them are Sheryl Crow, Clint Black, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, LeAnn Rimes, Randy Travis, and many others. Now it's your turn, Posty!

Malone Used To Sleep at Texas Stadium as a Boy

Jones said that he felt "extraordinarily excited" to have Malone, 30, as the big holiday game's halftime entertainer. He shared, "You know his background. He used to come over every night and sleep in Texas Stadium. And he slept over there for years, because his mother was working. And then she would finish her work and then he'd go home. Oh, yeah, for several years. Probably four or five (years). Had a cot for him and he slept." Malone got that unusual privilege because his dad managed concessions for the Cowboys.

He Said He Is "Honored" To Perform at the Game

Per Instagram, Malone wrote, "honored to be part of the @dallascowboys @salvationarmyus red kettle kickoff halftime show. see y'all on thanksgiving." The singer said a little bit more on the Dallas Cowboys web site. "I'm from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years. It's a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys and help bring hope to so many people."

The crowd at AT&T Stadium and the audience at home will no doubt get a rollicking good show from Post Malone. He is one of the most dynamic singers in the country music genre.
