By now, Post Malone must be used to being surrounded by millions of admirers.

But for one fan, that adoration has allegedly gone too far for the fifth (!) time. In response, the authorities have finally taken steps to possibly prevent a sixth incident (we hope, anyway).
A Woman Jumped in Front of Post Malone's Car
According to KSL-TV, 31-year-old Cherish Gomer was arrested on August 4. She was said to have jumped in front of the songwriter's car as he was trying to leave his home in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Malone's driver had to swerve to avoid hitting her with the vehicle.
Officers found Gomer down the street from the singer's home. It was the second time she had been arrested in eight days.
"She truly believes she has a calling from some sort of spirit animal, and she thinks she has a relationship with Mr. Post, and so she's 'entitled' to do this, which is incredibly alarming, and these people can be incredibly dangerous as we've seen throughout history," said Cottonwood Heights police chief Robby Russo.
This Wasn't Gomer's First Time
Gomer was first spotted on Post Malone's property in January of this year. She walked in through a gate left open by a worker. Gomer was then charged with criminal trespassing, which is typically charged as a misdemeanor.
In the three instances that took place afterwards, Gomer was charged with stalking, another misdemeanor. Those instances occurred on Feb. 1, Feb. 10, and July 27. Gomer also pleaded no contest to an intoxication charge in April. The latter incident took place at a Malone-designed Raising Cane's restaurant in Midvale, Utah.
(Side note: This location has medieval-themed restrooms, a Classic 1974 Ford F250, ping pong track system, a vending machine with Malone-themed items, and collectors cups featuring the singer.)
Gomer was charged with suspicion of stalking and a Violation of a Permanent Criminal Stalking Injunction on August 4. These are 3rd-degree felonies.
Authorities stated they want to protect Post Malone and his family, but also save Gomer from herself. She is being held without bail at Salt Lake County Jail.
Said Russo, "We're hoping to find another remedy that keeps her away from the home and into some sort of program that helps her."
