Priscilla Presley dishes liberally about everyone in her family in a juicy new memoir, Softly, as I Leave You: Life After Elvis. She found it pretty challenging to navigate romantic relationships following her divorce in 1973 from the King of Rock and Roll. He was allegedly very jealous.

Per People, "In the book, Priscilla recalled a night when Elvis called her after a performance at 2 a.m., unaware she was with [Robert ] Kardashian. The patriarch of the famed Kardashian clan died in 2003 from esophageal cancer. He and Priscilla got together in 1975, two years after her parting from Elvis.

She wrote, "It hadn't crossed [Elvis'] mind that I might have been asleep. It had certainly never occurred to him that I might be with another man. Despite our divorce, he still couldn't wrap his head around my being with someone else. He'd have gone ballistic, maybe literally, if he'd known Robert was in my bedroom. Elvis always carried a loaded gun, sometimes more than one."
She managed to keep each man in the dark about the other's continued presence in her life. Kardashian was unaware that Elvis had phoned Priscilla. The superstar singer did not know about her relationship with Kardashian.
Per the outlet via the memoir, "Fortunately, [Kardashian] was a sound sleeper, so I leaped out of bed and grabbed the phone before it woke him. I tiptoed down the hall to the guest bedroom and shut the door to listen to the familiar voice."
Her Year-Long Romance With Kardashian Fizzled
"Robert was a sweet man, and I liked him. Robert wanted to get married, but I knew it wouldn't work. I wasn't ready to marry again. He was the kindest of men, and I remember him with great affection." Prior to his death, they spoke one more time. The chat was reportedly arranged by Kardashian's daughter, Kim. In 1978, he tied the knot with Kris Jenner. Their four children included Robert Jr., Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney.
Kardashian married twice more before his death at age 59.
