Riley Green is revealing one surprising benefit of shaving his signature mustache. In a new interview, the singer-songwriter shares why he is glad that, at least for now, his notorious facial hair is a thing of the past.

"I hurt a lot of people's feelings when I shaved my mustache off," Green says on Country Countdown USA. "What's nice is I can walk around and nobody notices me. Every guy goes through this, I ended up with a mustache, and it became a thing. I just wanted to get some sun, so I shaved it off. I guess I have to grow it back."
It was Ella Langley who asked Green to keep it for their "You Look Like You Love Me" duet.
"We gotta give Ella all the credit on this situation," Green says. "She wanted me to keep it for the music video, and that was about a year ago, so here we are."
Riley Green's Relationship With Ella Langley
Ever since Green and Langley released their first duet, "Don't Mind If I Do," fans have been trying to find out if the two are dating, even as rumors swirl that he is dating Megan Moroney. Although the news will likely disappoint fans, the 36-year-old says he is actually very single.
"I find out who I'm dating weekly on social media," Green shares on Country Nights With Bev Rainey. "That's a pretty big one there. But I think a lot of stuff I see is so outlandish, that it keeps me humble a little bit, and I don't have to worry about it. They'll say anything on there. It's interesting how things like shaving your mustache can become viral now. I never thought that would be a thing."
Green understands people's desire to see him dating Langley, even if it, sadly, isn't true.
"I'm rumored to have dated a lot of people," he says. "I kind of understand that. People always long for that Tim and Faith, Johnny and June, George and Tammy thing. And so, me and Ella have two giant songs together. I think fans want to believe that what you sing about is real. Follow those lyrics and think there's a story there. I can comprehend people that are thinking there's something going on. For me, I'm just glad that we're having success together. I'm so proud of her."
