Not all biopics are built alike. Sometimes, due to certain restrictions, things can feel rushed. Oftentimes, directors are trying to work in certain guidelines or they're taking certain liberties to tell a certain story. The tricky thing is that you might as well read a book if you want a plain retelling, beat for beat. However, the muses for these biopics should also feel comfortable enough to voice their concerns about accuracy. Consequently, you have Ringo Starr monitoring the upcoming biopic for The Beatles coming out soon.

Apparently, he's already been glossing over the script for anything that strikes him as wrong. Recently, Starr spoke with The New York Times, where he opens up about the Beatles movie on the way. There, he reveals that he's already been in talks with director Sam Mendes. He's offering as much helpful info as possible to assure a perfect script.
Ringo Starr Consulting on Upcoming Beatles Biopic
"[Sam Mendes]"had a writer [involved] - very good writer, great reputation, and he wrote it great, but it had nothing to do with Maureen and I," Starr explains. "That's not how we were. I'd say, 'We would never do that.'"
Now, according to the New York Times, Ringo is seemingly satisfied with how the rest of the script turned out. All they needed to do was ensure his longtime romance to his wife was handled correctly. Starr meets the lady in his life back in 1962, when the band played a gig in Liverpool. They marry shortly afterwards in 1965.
However, the couple end up splitting in 1975. She passed away in 1994. Ringo shares a son with Maureen in Zak Starkey, a drummer just like his old man. He played with The Who for a long time before recently getting kicked out of the band for strange, muddy reasons.
