Samuel L. Jackson Slated to Join Taylor Sheridan's 'Tulsa King' Spinoff

Taylor Sheridan is the hardest working man in film and television. Tim McGraw already revealed that he forsakes sleep to get his dozens of projects off the ground. All kinds of Yellowstone spinoffs and prequels, Landman, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, Special Ops: Lioness. There's never a dull moment with Sheridan. Now, one of the next projects he's lifting off the ground has one of the greatest actors of all time: Samuel L. Jackson.

Recently, Deadline reported that the Pulp Fiction icon is the latest big name star in talks to join Taylor Sheridan's TV universe. The plan is for him to star in a handful of episodes in the upcoming third season of Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone. Then, once they've set up Jackson's character, he'll transition into NOLA King, where he'll be the focal point. July is the starting point for Jackson to film his appearances on the Stallone led show and he would start his spinoff in February next year. The show would stream exclusively on Paramount+.

Dave Erickson will be taking lead in writing NOLA King. He's best known for his work on Fear The Walking Dead, Mayor of Kingstown, and has taken over showrunner duties on Tulsa King for the new season. The Hollywood Reporter shares how one agency is in absolute awe of Taylor Sheridan. They can't believe he's landing such massive names for the world of television. "The level of talent Sheridan is able to secure for TV is unprecedented," they say of Samuel L. Jackson.

Personally, there are few higher selling points than the Jackie Brown star. Even at 76 years old, I'll probably always watch him on screen. Few things are more cathartic than hearing him cuss someone out. Taylor Sheridan and co. might have hooked me in for this one.
