Following his performance at the Crypto Ball, an event that, among other things, celebrated President Donald Trump, Snoop Dogg has addressed the backlash he has received as a result. In a video posted on Instagram, as Snoop smoked like there was no tomorrow, he spoke about the backlash, saying that he was "still a black man."

"Y'all can't hate enough, I love too much," Snoop said, after jamming to The Winans' "Ain't No Need To Worry." "Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I'm cool, I'm together. Still a Black man. Still 100 percent Black. All out, 'til you ball out, or 'til you fall out. I ain't going nowhere, I'm right here."
He continued to interact with his audience, saying that he would continue streaming and playing video games. He also instructed his fans to "get the crypto." While he continued singing, he would say that people "gotta learn to big each other up instead of putting each other down."
"That's what we're great at as Black people, we great at tearing each other down... But I'm a strong Black man, I'm cut from a different cloth," Snoop continued. "You can't tear me down, I'm one of God's children."
Sudden Change Of Mind
Just like in the previous week, Snoop Dogg continued to receive criticism in the comments section. "He really steady posting acting like these comments don't faze him lol," one user wrote. "Snoop is now MAGA. This was fun, unfollow and BLOCK," a second user wrote. A third one said: "2pac was right."
It appears that Snoop Dogg will have to deal with these sorts of comments for a while. However, Snoop appears to not care too much about the backlash he received.
For many, Snoop's "betrayal" came out of nowhere. However, back in January 2024, Snoop Dogg told The Times that his opinion of the president had changed after Trump pardoned Michael Harris, one of Death Row's co-founders.
"Donald Trump? He ain't done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me," he told the outlet. "So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump."
Previously, though, Snoop Dogg was very vocal about his stance as an anti-Trump individual. For example, back in 2018, he posted a video of him visiting the White House while smoking a blunt.
"There go the White House right there, huh? All them motherf***ers are Secret Service, huh? Wish I could get out and take a picture right now, but you can't park, huh," he said on the video. "F*** it, let me out, n***a. Let me get a picture. Snoop Dogg, f*** the President."
In 2017, Snoop also posted the track "Make America Crip Again," mocking Trump's "Make America Great Again." "Certain people feel like we should make America 'great again,' but that time they're referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation, so I'd rather Make America Crip Again," Snoop said at the time. During the same year, he also asked which "Uncle Tom" would perform for Donald Trump, so that he could roast them.
