"I can't smoke anything anymore," Nelson tells Forbes. "My lungs have already said, 'Don't do that.' So, I don't really do anything now much except a few edibles."

Nelson might not smoke anymore, but he still is a proponent of the healthy benefits of CBD, which is why he created his Willie's Remedy drink. Willie's Remedy is available in coffees, teas and tinctures, and able to be purchased online.

"I think it's good," Nelson says. "The people like it from what I've seen and heard. It's getting to be pretty popular out there."

Nelson is proud of his Willie's Remedy, but says that isn't what keeps him so active at 92 years of age. Instead, he Nelson says that is because of his own mentality, more than anything else.

"Thinking positive is the best thing you can do," Nelson says. "Imagine what you want and then get out of the way."

How Willie Nelson Stopped Smoking Cigarettes

Nelson not only quit smoking weed, but he also quit smoking cigarettes as well, and has been nicotine-free for 15 years.

"I had gotten up to two, maybe three, packs a day," Nelson told NPR in 2012. "My lungs were bothering mem and I'd had pneumonia two or three times ... And so I took a pack of Chesterfields and took all the Chesterfields out, rolled up 20 big fat ones and put it in there, and I haven't smoked a cigarette since then."

Nelson is healthier than ever, and still touring. For the Texan, it's the best way for him to maintain his longevity.

"I enjoy playing music," Nelson says. "I enjoy seeing people get together and forget about everything except music. I think there's a great positive exchange that takes place. We don't care what political affiliation you're with, what color you are, it doesn't matter if you like music, come on."

Nelson is currently headlining Outlaw Fest with Bob Dylan. He will celebrate his 40th Farm Aid in Minneapolis in September.
