How Adam Levine Helped 'The Voice' With Its Ratings

Despite Carrie Underwood joining the judges panel for American Idol, the show still cannot top The Voice. The Sun shared that "The Voice has brought in one million more viewers than American Idol" and many argue it is thanks to a specific returning coach.
Adam Levine has been a fan favorite of the show since its beginning. Furthermore, many fans loved the dynamic between him and fellow coach, Blake Shelton. However, despite his popularity on the show, Adam Levine took some time away.
He was gone from the show for six years. Now, he has returned and its ready to take home the gold once again. Which shouldn't be hard since he has won the show multiple times before. He coached the first 16 seasons of the show and won three times during his run.
Now he is coaching alongside John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Buble. Fans tuned in in the masses, eagerly anticipating this coach's long-awaited return.
The Voice Has Got The Numbers
Just to show you the sheer mass of the audience, here are some of the numbers from recent shows. On the March 16 showing of American Idol, The Sun revealed that 4,510,000 viewers turned in. While that is indeed a lot of fans tuning it, The Voice had even more.
For the March 17 showing of The Voice, 5,237,000 viewers joined in and watched Adam Levine and his grand return. With numbers like that it is clear to see that not only is the show incredibly popular, but so is this long time fan-favorite coach.
