Ashley McBryde is opening her own bar inside another country star's bar, but there's a catch. McBryde's Redemption Bar, opening up inside Eric Church's Chief's, is a place where sober people, like McBryde, can still enjoy flavorful drinks.

"The only thing that changed about me was what was in my cup," McBryde tells Whiskey Riff. "It didn't change that I wanted to hang out, or be around people who do what I do."
Indeed, the Mocktails menu shows plenty of creative options, with creative titles such as Double Down Dreamer and Martini McBryde. Created to be a non-discriminatory place, alcoholic options are also available.
"On this menu, when you order something, it just comes that way," McBryde says. "And you're welcome to drink alcohol here too...but you're going to have to ask for it.
"You're welcome to drink or not drink," she adds. "And I think that's just friendly."
Ashley McBryde Reveals Reason For Redemption Bar
When announcing her Redemption Bar, McBryde said it was a way for sober people like her to still enjoy a night out on the town.
"Broadway's getting a new kind of bar," McBryde explains. "It's called Redemption, and it's for all of us. Since deciding to live sober, I've wanted to create a space that normalizes non-alcoholic options first and is still a real bar. a place where people can connect, unwind, and hear original songs. Redemption is coming soon to the 5th floor of Chief's on Broadway. I can't wait for you to see it."
McBryde has been sober since 2022, after a painful experience made her realize she needed to stop drinking.
"Today marks 3 years since my last drink," McBryde writes on social media in June. "My last time being 'that guy' in my social and professional circles. The last panicked phone call for help. The final slip up that caused the intervention from those that love me and the shift in me allowing me to say 'that's enough.' The details are known by those who are deserving of such painful information."
McBryde is now grateful for the person she is without relying on alcohol.
"Grief is okay. A version of me had to die off so I could become myself," she says. "I have love for her and every other version of me that had to exist."
McBryde's Redemption Bar is open now.
