Tim McGraw Travels With Faith Hill Overseas Amid Recovery To See His Daughter Perform

Tim McGraw is continuing his recovery from multiple surgeries, including a back surgery that required him to cancel his performance at the Professional Bull Riders' Last Cowboy Standing Event in July. But he apparently is well enough to travel overseas, albeit with a cane, to see his daughter Audrey perform.

McGraw shares a photo of him with Hill, with his cane in full view.

"Hangin with my baby in Copenhagen to see Audrey McGraw on tour with the fabulous Brandi Carlile," McGraw writes.

Audrey chimes in on the photo, writing, "Love y'all so much."

Tim McGraw's Ongoing Recovery

McGraw opted to have all of his necessary surgeries while he was off the road. In addition to his back surgery, he also had surgery on his neck and both of his knees.

"The worst part for me is I'm terrible at sitting still. ... During the tour, the back started going cattywampus on me," McGraw recalls on Audacy, referring to his Standing Room Only Tour. "And in about three weeks in the tour, my knees went out. So I had to do the whole tour with my knee shot, my back shot."

McGraw is adept at handling physical pain, but he admits mentally he had a much harder time during his recovery.

"That was the worst part was mentally," he acknowledges, adding that his doctors did warn him that the struggle would most likely be mostly in his mind. "Everybody that gets these things, there's a depression that happens."

Fortunately, the 58-year-old tends to focus on his health, which is why he believes his recovery has gone as well as can be expected.

"I just try to take care of myself the best I can," McGraw explains. "Try to keep myself in shape, try to eat as good as I can when I'm touring. Of course, I have to have my cheat dates as well. But I just try to keep everything loose and limber. And of course, I've had a foot broken three times, knee surgeries, elbow surgeries, back surgeries. So, I try to do it as hard as I can, but without hurting myself too bad."
