The cast, led by Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, is just as eager as fans to see audiences react to the dirty dealings and the secrets that will be revealed in Taylor Sheridan drama.
"It's a rollercoaster. It's gonna be a rollercoaster, for sure," said the actors Paulina Chávez, who plays Ariana, and Jacob Lofland, who plays Cooper Norris, on the show.
What Is the Second Season of "Landman" About?
The first season ended with Thornton's character Tommy forced to make difficult choices both personally and professionally. The second season will build on the events that took place in the exciting finale.
Here is the official synopsis:
"As oil rises from the earth, so do secrets - and Tommy Norris's (Thornton) breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Moore), and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn't noble - it's brutal. And sooner or later something's got to break."
Who Is Starring in the Second Season?
Thornton and Moore will be joined by Andy Garcia, Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, and Lofland and Chávez.
"It feels great to be back on Landman Season 2," says Thornton. "Season 1 was... well, it exceeded our expectations. I have to say it's one of the best cast and crews I've ever worked with, and there's been a lot of them."
Legendary actor Elliott, known for his rugged good looks and distinctive Southern drawl, will play Tommy's father. He seems grateful for the opportunity to join the show.
"I've been in this business for 56 years, I think," he said. "And to have an opportunity like this after that much time is pretty special."
Fans will see how the cast gives their characters a little more wisdom. Larter looks forward to audiences discovering what's in store for Angela.
She says, "This season, you see how we run a family, and Angela also has to understand the depth of the danger of his business."
