Countries Up and Comer is certainly one to watch, but he wasn't always the musical man. It took a change of direction, and the inspiration of a music festival to put him on his path. Since then, Nick Cain has been producing country music, looking for his lucky break.
Nick Cain is a real estate developer by day, and music mogul by night. He not only produces his beloved country music but also runs a venue. Now, with a star-studded cast of contributors, he's created his new track under the expert guidance of Grammy-winning producer Brandon Bell.
A U-Turn Down The Country Road For Nick Cain
We had the chance to throw a few questions his way, getting into what helped That's What The Whiskey's For come to fruition.
"How's life since real estate? Is the country music life everything you dreamed it to be?" I asked. "It's been a constant growth and challenging experience for me. It's been a great path for someone like me with attention span issues, haha. I've met so many amazing people and had opportunities to play with some really great musicians and venues in multiple states and countries. I just wish I started this 30 years ago, not 5," Nick Cain replied.
At the age of 39, Nick Cain first picked up his guitar. But, it's never too late to start something you love, and he's only been going from strength to strength since.
I had to know, as a lover of all things whiskey myself. What whiskey is it that Nick was singing about in his track That's What The Whiskey's For? What is his go-to? "Jim or Jack seems to do the trick. You may also catch me with Knob Creek or Makers, hold the ice," he told us.
It seems he's a true American malt man through and through.
With a few singles already making the country music rounds, this new release marks a definite dedication to his music. I wanted to know what we can expect to see from his future. "I've never been more motivated about a project in my life. I make it a habit to write at least twice per week," he revealed. "I have dozens more tunes to record and am looking forward to Nashville this spring to complete the next batch." We can expect to see some more music from Nick.
But, we want to see Nick Cain live. After all, it's the best way to discover new talent in the country music scene. So asked about where he was looking forward to playing. "As far as gigs, I get pumped to play any of them. I am really looking forward to someday performing at The Gorge for Watershed since this is where it all began for me."
Keep an eye out for Nick Cain with "That's What The Whiskey's For," released January 22nd.
