One young Katy Perry fan was a little too overwhelmed when meeting her hero.

During Perry's Sunday, August 3, appearance at Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit, she invited a young fan named McKenna, who was among an estimated 13,000 in the audience, to join her on stage.
This Has Become a Tradition at Katy Perry Shows
This invitation has become a ritual during Perry's "Lifetimes" tour. Each night, she picks someone from the audience to perform her hit, "The One That Got Away." The singer spotted McKenna and her friend in the upper section of the venue, according to Billboard.
When the fans made their way down to the stage, McKenna looked visibly anxious.
"Let's breathe," Perry tells McKenna in a TikTok video capturing the moment.
Seconds later, the fan fainted. During the intense moment, Perry instantly went to her knees to hold up McKenna's head and check on her condition.
Perry Then Led the Audience in Prayer
The tour crew and medical staff hurried onstage to help McKenna. Soon after, the audience began chanting her name in support.
The "California Gurls" singer then led the audience in prayer as McKenna was taken off stage.
"Dear God, we pray for McKenna, that she will come back fully and brighter and better than ever," prayed Perry. "Amen."
"It's so much," Perry added. "Sometimes you're so brave and you can get on stage, and it's overwhelming. I understand that feeling."
Perry Gave Fans an Update
Perry then went on to perform the remainder of her set. Later in the show, she shared an update on her young fan.
"McKenna's doing great, by the way," she told the crowd. Billboard also confirmed the news with sources backstage.
The incident didn't seem to affect Perry's performance. The local publication MetroTimes dubbed it "out of this world."
Between the collapse of her marriage with Orlando Bloom, as well as the flak she received for her Blue Origin space flight, Perry has had a tough year.
Her "Lifetimes" tour has also had a few stumbles. There have been reports of prop and wardrobe malfunctions. Despite all this, the tour has been praised for its ambitious visuals and strong setlist aimed toward fans. That's what we call grace under pressure.
