Riley Green Announces Tour Extension With Major Singer Added To Lineup

Riley Green is extending his Damn Country Music Tour, joined with one of country music's biggest stars. Green announces he has added more dates to his tour, with Grand Ole Opry member Jamey Johnson touring with Green for the new dates. Drake White and Hannah McFarland will join for select dates as well.

"Damn Country Music Tour has crushed so far so I'm adding some new dates and bringing some of my Alabama friends with me," Green reveals on social media. Johnson is joining Green for all eight new dates except for one on November 14 in Toledo, Ohio.

Tickets for the new dates go on sale on Friday, May 2, at 10:00 AM local time.

One person that is noticeably absent from the new tour dates is Ella Langley, Green's "You Look Like You Love Me" duet partner. With their friendship still going strong, it's likely Langley's own successful career is what prohibits her from joining Green on his new dates.

Jamey Johnson's Connection To Riley Green and Ella Langley

Johnson has more than just a shared love of country music in common with both Green and Langley. Johnson appears in the video for "You Look Like You Love Me," playing a sheriff. Langley and Johnson are both part of this year's American Currents exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The two sat down at the opening to reveal how he became part of the video.

"I've asked Jamey Johnson to do things and he's straight up said no," Langley recalls. "I called him, and I said, 'Hey, we're doing the video for 'You Look Like You Love Me,' and I would love if you were in the music video, as a sheriff.' He took his part very seriously. He cared very much about every little detail of where the gun was getting pulled out, how he was walking out. I don't think I had to do that much convincing."

"I was giddy about it and I still am," Johnson adds. "I'm glad they found something for me to do in that video. I love Ella and I love Riley, and that song."

Langley and Green are nominated for four ACM Awards for "You Look Like You Love Me," including Music Event of the Year.
