FBI Director Kash Patel has pushed back hard against critics of his alleged use of an FBI jet to travel to see his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, perform. Per the New York Post, she "sang the national anthem at a wrestling event at Penn State University on Oct. 25."

Patel Had a Robust Response on Social Media
Patel hit back at length on X. He posted, "I am proud of the work of this FBI. We're taking violent criminals off the streets in record numbers, crushing the fentanyl crisis, dismantling cartels, saving children, hunting down terrorists — and so much more. "
The post continued, "Let me be clear: we will not be distracted by baseless rumors or the noise from uninformed internet anarchists and the fake news. I've always said — criticize me all you want. But going after the people doing great work, my personal life, or those around me is a total disgrace. The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis — a true patriot and the woman I'm proud to call my partner in life — are beyond pathetic."
He added, " She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I'm so blessed she's in my life. Attacking her isn't just wrong — it's cowardly and jeopardizes our safety. My love of family will always be my cornerstone, and you will never tear that down or keep me from them. I and this FBI will stay laser-focused on our mission and continue the reform we promised — rebuilding this Bureau from the ground up. And to our supposed allies staying silent — your silence is louder than the clickbait haters."
A Former FBI Agent Raised Questions About the FBI Jet
Kyle Seraphin is a former FBI agent. He has, according to the outlet, been negative about Patel previously. Seraphin sounded the alarm about Patel's jet logs. They allegedly showed that the plane was used to travel to Wilkins' singing performance.
"We're in the middle of a government shutdown where they're not even gonna pay all of the employees that work for the agency that this guy heads, and this guy is jetting off to hang out with his girlfriend in Nashville on our dime?," Seraphin shared on his show. He also said the pair is "grifting off the American public."
There Was Reportedly Fallout at the FBI About the Incident
Per the outlet via Bloomberg Law, Patel allegedly got rid of Steven Palmer. He was the person "who oversees [the FBI's] aviation units" because of the uproar. Logs of Patel's air travel are reportedly public. FBI chiefs are supposed to reimburse the government "for personal trips," per the outlet.
